1. About these terms
These terms cover use of KeyHatch.org, operated by DigiSim Technology Ltd, registered in England and Wales, United Kingdom under company number 16962306. Our registered office is Office 16555, 182–184 High Street North, East Ham, London, E6 2JA, United Kingdom. Contact support@keyhatch.org with service or terms questions. Use the service only if you can lawfully agree to the applicable terms; where required, a parent or guardian must authorize and supervise a minor’s use.
Current service: KeyHatch is free to use without an account. Practice progress stays in this browser. Adults may optionally create a free account using Firebase Authentication. Account details and preferences are stored by our backend. Subscriptions, payments, child profiles and cloud practice saving are not enabled. Using the free service does not start a trial or authorize a future charge.
2. Learning service and permitted use
KeyHatch provides typing and computer-skills practice. Some exercises simulate a limited part of a tool rather than providing the complete product or operating system. Follow the labels and instructions shown for each activity. Scores and progress are learning feedback, not independent certification, employment screening or a promise of educational results.
You may use the service for lawful personal learning and supervised educational practice. Do not interfere with other users, bypass access restrictions, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malicious code, or use the service to violate another person’s rights. Do not upload or enter confidential information you are not authorized to use.
3. Free access and local progress
The current release offers free practice without registration or payment. Progress is stored on the browser and device you use. It may be lost if site data is cleared or evicted, and is not automatically transferred to another device. A future paid plan will require an explicit purchase; using free features is not agreement to be charged.
4. Planned free and subscription accounts
When enabled, accounts will use Google Firebase Authentication with Google sign-in or email/password registration. Provide accurate account information, protect access to your email and credentials, and tell us about suspected unauthorized use. Account owners must be eligible to enter the agreement; parent-managed learning requires the relevant safeguards. A free account will not become a subscription unless its owner expressly selects and purchases a paid plan.
5. Planned paid subscriptions
Paid subscriptions are not offered in this release. Before any paid launch, checkout will state the plan features, price, currency, taxes, billing interval, renewal terms and applicable refund policy. Recurring billing, if offered, will require your express authorization. Stripe will process payments. We will not assume a price or billing interval on this page before plans are published.
6. Cancellation, refunds and account deletion
When subscriptions become available, cancellation will stop future renewal. Unless the checkout terms or applicable law provide otherwise, paid access will continue to the end of the paid billing period. Any refund entitlement will be governed by the Refund Policy and mandatory consumer rights. Cancellation is not automatically a refund request.
Uninstalling a browser, clearing local data or signing out will not cancel a future subscription. Account deletion, cancellation, consent withdrawal and deletion of learning records are separate requests. An active subscription must have a clearly available cancellation method before paid plans launch.
7. Content and intellectual property
KeyHatch’s branding, interface and original materials belong to their respective rights holders. You receive permission to use the service for its intended learning purpose, not to resell or redistribute proprietary course content or misrepresent the service as your own. Third-party open-source software, fonts, audio and other licensed materials remain subject to their own licenses. You retain rights to material you lawfully create; no ownership of your writing is transferred merely by practicing.
8. Privacy and optional services
Our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy explain current processing and planned providers. Optional analytics is not a condition of free access. We do not use the practice workspace for advertising, session replay or raw-keystroke analytics.
9. Availability and reasonable use
We aim to provide a useful and reliable service, but features may require compatible hardware, a supported browser and internet access. We may maintain, improve or remove features and may restrict unlawful or abusive use. We will honor applicable obligations for any paid period and provide required notice of material changes. Do not rely on browser-local records as your only copy of information you need to retain.
10. Responsibility and consumer protections
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, perfect compatibility or a particular learning outcome. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees, statutory refunds, or liability for fraud. No provision requires you to waive mandatory protections in your country of residence.
11. Questions, disputes and changes
Please contact support@keyhatch.org about a concern so we can try to resolve it. Your right to seek help from a regulator or an appropriate court is preserved. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights. We will publish an updated date and give legally required notice of material changes; a new charge or recurring commitment requires your express agreement.
